Living Connected joins DLOA Be Connected network
The Good Things Foundation https://www.goodthingsfoundation.org.au has a contract from the Department of Social Services to run a network of local partners to help older Australians to use the internet better. The Foundation will support the network with a range of resources, online training, network events, dedicated network coordinators, an online forum, and a helpline.
Unanderra Community Centre
Living Connected will begin weekly computer classes on Monday afternoons at 2pm in the computer room of the Unanderra Community Centre on the Princes Highway corner of Factory Rd. These will start on October 9, 2017. Bring your own device (laptop, ipad, tablet or smartphone) if you have one and want help with it. If you don’t have you own device/computer, we have ones you can try and see what suits you. We welcome everyone and cover most things that seniors would like to do. So come even if you are just curious to find out about computers, are just beginning or have got to a point when you want to learn more.
Demo Day at iAccelerate
This year’s iAccelerate Demo Day will be held on Friday September 22, 2017 at the Innovation Campus. Living Connected will be in the Foyer from 10 am to 3pm. We will be running a breakout session at 11am to bring visitors up to date on all we are doing.
We were also there at last year’s Demo Day where we met some of the current members of the Living Connected Team.
